FIS Council will decide and announce the organizer of Nordic Ski World Championships 2027 on Wednesday the 25th of May. Falun is the only candidate and in conjunction with FIS´ announcement an event with exciting activities will be held on the Main Square in Falun.
The decision about the World Championships 2026 (Ski-Flying) and 2027 (Freesstyle Ski and Snowboard, Alpine and Nordic) will be taken and announced by FIS Council from their meeting in Milan, Italy, on the 25th of May. The Swedish Ski Association, Falun Municipality, Beyond Skiing and Centrala Stadsrum invite everyone to an event on the Main Square in Falun where you can follow the announcement live.
On the evening the 25th there will be activities for children and adults and you will be able to enjoy food from food trucks, entertainment, exciting interviews on the stage, meet partners from the local business network Beyond Skiing and a lot more. Of course, we will follow the FIS Council meeting live on the big screen with the announcements and live reports from the candidate managers on site in Milan, Italy.
The program starts at 17.30 and the announcements will be made shortly after 19.
