A total of 936 people from 28 different nations have already applied to become volunteers at this winter’s FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun.
Now you have the chance to become one of our fantastic Heroes – the volunteer portal reopens today.
For a couple of months this spring, people had the opportunity to apply to become a volunteer at this winter’s World Championships in Falun. The response was tremendous.
“Our goal is to have 2,000 Heroes – the name we use for Falun 2027’s volunteers – in place when the World Championships get underway in February. Having already received 936 applications before the summer is a fantastic result,” says Agnes Larsson Lyckholm, Volunteer Coordinator at Falun 2027.
It is particularly notable that the applicants already represent no fewer than 28 different nations.
“It is a fantastic and diverse group of people who will come together to create magic. Each and every one of them will help create memories for a lifetime – both for themselves and for all our visitors and participants,” says Maria Hållmarker, who works with volunteers at Falun 2027.
Now it’s your turn to apply to become a volunteer. The volunteer portal reopens today and will remain open until the end of October.
“We recommend that you register as soon as possible. This will give you a better chance of getting a volunteer assignment in the area you would most like to work in,” says Agnes Larsson Lyckholm.
