Patrik Blomquist, formerly Head of Sales at Hammarby Football, has been appointed as Commercial Manager for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun 2027.
As Commercial Manager, Patrik Blomquist will be responsible for developing and leading the overall commercial strategy for one of Sweden’s largest and most internationally visible sport events. His mission includes forging strong partnerships between the business community and the sporting world, creating value-driven collaborations, and building robust commercial platforms, from the earliest sponsorship deals to the unforgettable crowd experiences at Lugnet.
Patrik brings with him a long and successful track record of commercial leadership in both sports and business, where he has built strong partnerships and developed organizations with both heart and a focus on results.
– We are very proud and excited to welcome Patrik to the team. His ability to grow commercial operations and build strong, long-term partnerships is exactly what we need to deliver a world-class championship. I believe Patrik’s energy, curiosity, and warm personality will be a tremendous asset to our team, says Jonas Peterson, CEO of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships Falun.
Blomquist assumes the position with both humility and enthusiasm. He emphasizes the importance of building upon the strong corporate relationships established during previous championships:
– It is a great honor and an inspiring opportunity to be part of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun. I look forward to collaborating with both new and returning business partners and uniting the collective strength of Swedish industry behind the 2027 event. Together, we will create a championship that brings the world together and once again puts Sweden firmly on the map,” says Patrik Blomquist.
Blomquist will officially begin his new role on June 1, 2025.
