Hitachi Energy, a global leader in electrification, becomes a National Partner of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships Falun 2027. With its strong roots in Ludvika, the partnership also brings together two powerful forces in Dalarna – world-leading energy infrastructure and one of the world’s largest winter sports events.
Hitachi Energy is driving the development of the world’s energy system to ensure abundant, affordable and sustainable energy for current and future generations. The company has signed an agreement to become a National Partner of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun.
The partnership also has a strong local dimension. In Ludvika, just a few dozen kilometres from Falun, Hitachi Energy operates its largest site in Sweden, with more than 125 years of world-leading expertise in power technology and energy infrastructure.

Hitachi Energy is currently undergoing a major phase of growth. The company is investing billions of Swedish kronor in its Swedish operations and is significantly expanding in Ludvika and elsewhere in the country to accelerate the energy transition.
“The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun should be a World Championships for all of Dalarna and all of Sweden. During the Championships, Hitachi Energy will have the opportunity to establish a strong physical presence and engage with visitors, customers, employees and future talent. The partnership includes, among other things, activation at the Championships venue, digital communication and opportunities to use the World Championships as a meeting place for employees and guests.

The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships Falun 2027 will take place from 24 February to 7 March 2027. The Championships will bring together the world’s elite in ski jumping, Nordic combined and cross-country skiing, once again making Falun and Dalarna an international meeting place for sport, business and people.
