Here is the competition schedule for Falun 2027

The competition schedule for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun has now been finalized.

Here you will find all competition times, from the opening cross-country qualification races on 24 February to the 50 km race and closing ceremony on 7 March.

From 24 February to 7 March, the eyes of the world will be on Falun and Lugnet. For the fifth time, Falun will host the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, featuring ski jumping, cross-country skiing and Nordic combined.

The schedule for the action-packed competition days has now been finalized.

The World Championships will officially open on Wednesday, 24 February. But a few hours earlier, qualification races in cross-country skiing will take place for both women and men. These races are for athletes from less established cross-country skiing nations.

The first medals will be awarded on Thursday, 25 February, with gold at stake in the cross-country sprint, the individual Gundersen event in Nordic combined and the women’s team competition on the normal hill in ski jumping.

The action will then continue with nine more exciting days of competition, culminating on the afternoon of 7 March, when the festivities at Lugnet come to an end with the women’s 50 km race and the closing ceremony.

— Being able to present the final competition schedule is an important milestone in our preparations for the World Championships. The schedule creates the conditions for exciting competitions and fantastic sporting experiences, while also giving us the opportunity to create the World Championship celebration we want to offer all our visitors. We are now looking forward to welcoming athletes, coaches, volunteers and spectators to Falun and Lugnet. Come and join the World Championship celebration and Feel the heartbeat, says Sara Tigerström Monfelt, Chief Operating Officer at Falun 2027.
