On Tuesday, May 13, the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) will come to Falun for a Coordination Group meeting. In connection with the meeting, representatives from the World Championships in Trondheim will present their final report.
FIS meets future World Championship organizers for Coordination Group meetings twice a year. These meetings provide a detailed review of the event planning, focusing on specific operational areas. The upcoming meeting in Falun will take place in the afternoon, while the Trondheim 2025 team will present their report during the morning session.
– It is both inspiring and incredibly valuable to gain insights from Trondheim’s experiences,” says Jonas Peterson, CEO of Falun 2027.
Participating in the morning presentation are key local stakeholders including Centrala Stadsrum, the Municipality of Falun, Visit Dalarna, Falu Energi & Vatten, LUFAB, and the Swedish Armed Forces.
The Coordination Group meeting will include representatives from FIS, LOC Falun 2027, the Municipality of Falun, and LUFAB.
– The Coordination Group meetings are a crucial part of our preparations. We look forward to continuing our close collaboration with FIS as we plan and deliver a world-class event in 2027,” says Sara Tigerström Monfelt, Chief Operating Officer of Falun 2027.
