FIS decision about World Championships 2027 – schedule and program

Tomorrow May 25 FIS will announce the decision about who will host Nordic World Ski Championships 2027 and Falun is the only candidate. The two candidate managers Sara Tigerström Monfelt and Ulrika Back Eriksson are attending the meeting and will give you reports live from Milan. During the evening when the decision will be announced an event will be held on the Main Square in Falun.

The decision about the five different World Championships 2026 and 2027 will be taken and announced by FIS Council on its´ meeting in Milan on the 25th of May. Previous years these decisions have been taken during the week-long FIS congress. This year will be different and it will only be a FIS Council meeting. It will only be two representatives from each candidacy on site. On the meeting, they will show a video presentation and be able to answer questions from FIS. It will be possible to follow the decision live on the Main Square in Falun. You can also watch all candidacy presentations and the decision through a live broadcast on FIS Youtube.
