The Swedish industrial group Alfa Laval has signed an agreement to become an official partner of Falun 2027.
“Having a Swedish company that is a global provider of world-class products and cutting-edge technology choose to use the World Championships as a platform is both a strong endorsement and a great source of inspiration,” says Thomas Ekhammer, Sales Manager at Falun 2027.
Alfa Laval is a Swedish company with a history spanning more than 140 years. It has grown into a global leader in heat transfer, separation and fluid handling. Its technologies are used around the world to optimize industrial processes, reduce energy consumption and emissions, and enable more efficient use of common resources.
The Swedish industrial group has now signed an agreement to become an official partner of Falun 2027.
“Having a global Swedish technology company such as Alfa Laval choose to engage with the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun as an official partner means a great deal to us. To create a World Championships of this scale, we need strong partners who share our ambition to develop, innovate and create something that will have an impact even after the competitions have come to an end. Alfa Laval represents much of the innovative spirit that Sweden is known for internationally,” says Kajsa Sjösvärd, CEO of Falun 2027.
On 24 February 2027, the winter’s great celebration of sport, the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun, will officially get underway. Over the following eleven days, the eyes of the skiing world will be on Dalarna and Lugnet as the world’s best ski jumpers, cross-country skiers and Nordic combined athletes compete for medals.
“Success is all about keeping your eyes firmly fixed on the horizon and pursuing your goals with determination, innovation and drive,” says Tom Erixon, President and CEO of Alfa Laval.
“The Championships shares values that we prize at Alfa Laval. Also, like us, it is rooted in and inspired by Nordic traditions. We are a Scandinavian company that works in more than 100 countries around the globe and we are happy to support an event that brings the world to Scandinavia when the Championships returns to Falun for the fifth time.”
