The highly experienced commentary duo of Kjell-Erik Kristiansen and Roberto Vacchi will be providing the commentary during the World Championships in Falun.
After the competitions at Lugnet, the celebrations will continue at Medal Plaza in Stora Torget, Falun’s main square.
There will be plenty going on in Falun throughout the World Championships, both at the ski jumping and cross-country venues. It has now been confirmed that a highly experienced team of commentators will be providing the commentary and helping to create the atmosphere at the venues.
Erik Martinsen will be the venue producer during the Championships. Kjell-Erik Kristiansen will be the lead commentator for cross-country skiing, bringing experience from eight Olympic Games and numerous World Championships. Roberto Vacchi will be the lead commentator for ski jumping, also bringing extensive experience, particularly from cycling and cross-country skiing. Vacchi was the commentator at the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup events in Falun last autumn. Kristiansen and Vacchi will be joined in the commentary team by Peter Edman and Monica Sundin.
— We are very happy to be able to present this team, who will help create the atmosphere and the celebrations before, during and after the competitions, says Niclas Johansson, Head of Ceremonies at Falun 2027.
In the evenings, the celebrations will continue in central Falun, including, of course, the medal ceremonies at Medal Plaza in Stora Torget.
— It feels fantastic that we can offer free entertainment for everyone in Falun and for visitors in the evenings. The cultural programme that will open each medal ceremony is currently taking shape. Artists already confirmed include Stella Adee, Andy and The Rockets, Nightshine, Larz Kristerz, Hårdrockskören and John Lindbergs Trio, says Niclas Johansson.
— We expect around 10,000 more visitors than on a typical Saturday evening in central Falun. We will support the local bars and restaurants by adding a food and beverage tent in the central parts of Falun, says Johansson.
