This autumn, work will begin on completing the competition venue ahead of this winter’s FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun. It has now been confirmed that Falun-based company Hallton will join Falun 2027 as a technical supplier.
Interest in the World Championships in Falun is growing by the day. This is particularly evident in the fact that ticket sales have now really started to take off.
This autumn, the temporary grandstands around the cross-country stadium at Lugnet will begin to be constructed. At the ski jumping venue, spectators will be able to cheer on their favourites from the permanent grandstand next to the jumping arena. The temporary grandstands will be built by Hallton, a company whose headquarters and operations are located just a few kilometres from Lugnet.
“We are delighted to be able to present Hallton as a technical supplier to the World Championships. Having a local company with such extensive experience and expertise take responsibility for these constructions is fully in line with our sustainability efforts. In addition, this partnership will help create jobs in the region,” says Thomas Ekhammer, Head of Sales at Falun 2027 and Beyond Skiing.
In addition to constructing the temporary grandstands, Hallton will also build several of the tents that will be located at Lugnet during the Championship weeks. The company will also be responsible for additional construction work in and around the World Championship venue.

We look forward to working together with the World Championship organisation to build the grandstands, tent structures and infrastructure required for an event as large as a FIS Nordic World Ski Championships,” says Jan Johansson, CEO of Hallton.
