Tonight, Gula Väggen will be cheering on the Swedish national football team in its final warm-up match before the FIFA World Cup in North America. During Falun 2027, Gula Väggen will help create atmosphere and add to the World Championship festivities at Lugnet – and you can be an active part of it.
On June 15, Sweden enters the FIFA World Cup in North America. Their opening opponent will be Tunisia in Mexico.
In the stands, Gula Väggen will be there to showcase the Swedish colors – just as it will tonight when Sweden faces Greece in a friendly match at Strawberry Arena.
Gula Väggen was founded by Andreas Richt in 2018, although the idea was born much earlier. This winter, the well-known supporter organization will also take its place at Lugnet to help create an exciting atmosphere and festival spirit during the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun.
— Since the early 1990s, I have had the privilege of experiencing that euphoric feeling of contributing to the sea of yellow at Sweden’s international matches. It is a culture that is warm, generous, inclusive, and family-oriented in a way that simply cannot be described – it has to be experienced, says Richt.
Over the past five years, Gula Väggen has supported not only Sweden’s national football teams, but all Swedish national teams.
— We are delighted that Gula Väggen will be present during the World Championships in Falun. They will support all athletes, but especially the Swedish competitors, in their pursuit of success. They will create an incredible atmosphere and a strong sense of community for everyone in the venue, says Daniel Svensson, Key Account Manager at Falun 2027.
Everyone who has purchased an admission ticket for a competition day is welcome to join Gula Väggen, which will be located alongside Mördarbacken. On February 25, when the first cross-country skiing medals are awarded in the women’s and men’s sprint events, Gula Väggen will instead be positioned in the sprint area. Tickets can be purchased directly through Falun 2027’s ticketing platform or via Gula Väggen’s website.
— Everyone is welcome. Many people come on their own and quickly make new friends. We meet before the competitions to build excitement together, and then march as a group with drums and Swedish flags to our spot at Mördarbacken. Once the athletes have crossed the finish line, we continue celebrating together and enjoying the company of both old and new friends, says Johanna Hellström of Gula Väggen.
