There is strong interest in tickets for next year’s FIS Nordic Ski World Championships at Lugnet. Here’s your guide to buying tickets for Falun 2027.
A few months ago, tickets for the FIS Nordic Ski World Championships in Falun were released. You can already secure your tickets for all the exciting competition days, featuring thrilling events both in the ski jumping arena and along the cross-country trails.
— Interest is high. During the 2015 World Championships, several competition days sold out well in advance, and we expect similar demand this time as well. That’s why it’s wise to book early if you want to guarantee your spot, says Daniel Svensson, Ticket Manager at Falun 2027.

There are several different ticket categories – how should I choose?
— It completely depends on the kind of experience you want. If you want to follow the competitions from areas such as Mördarbacken or near the sprint hill, you should buy a general admission ticket. The admission ticket gives you access to spectator areas along the cross-country trails. If you instead want a seat in one of our five grandstands, you should purchase a ticket for the stand where you want to be (see the arena map alongside). If you buy a grandstand ticket, you can also follow the competitions out along the course in addition to your place in “your grandstand section,” says Daniel Svensson.
HERE IS THE COMPETITION SCHEDULE
I want to secure my place in the ski jumping arena – what do I do then?
— All tickets are valid for the entire competition day, meaning both the events in the ski jumping arena and the cross-country competitions. In the ski jumping arena, we will operate on a “first come, first served” basis. This means that anyone with a general admission ticket can take a seat in the large grandstand well before the ski jumping and Nordic combined jumping events begin to make sure they get the spot they want to follow the drama in the arena. We expect true ski jumping celebrations when our large natural grandstand with 11,000 seats next to the hills is filled, says Daniel Svensson.
There’s still plenty of time until the World Championships – do I really need to buy my ticket already?
— We can already see that certain days are attracting extra interest. Final sessions and weekends usually sell first. If you want to make sure you get the days you most want to experience, it’s smart to book early.
Can I book parking and Afterski tickets at the same time as I buy my event tickets?
— Competition tickets can already be booked now (see the link below). Soon, you will also be able to add to your order with things such as Afterski tickets, pre-booked lunches, and parking. And if you are arriving in an electric car, you will be able to reserve a parking space near the arena with EV charging, so once you’ve experienced the festival atmosphere in and around the stadium, you can simply hop in and continue your journey with a fully charged car, says Daniel Svensson.
Are accessible tickets available?
— Absolutely! Visitors with accessibility tickets are offered seating in grandstand L3. In the ski jumping arena, there will also be an accessibility ramp with limited capacity, operating on a first come, first served basis. The ticket costs the same as a regular admission ticket. Up to two companions are admitted on the same ticket upon presentation of a valid companion certificate.
Will there be VIP tickets?
— Yes, our VIP packages will be launched within the next few days. There will be several hospitality levels including food, heated areas, and reserved seating — perfect for groups of friends or companies, says Daniel Svensson.
