The Ski Jumping World Cup Week Continues in Falun – Spotlight Now on the Women
For the first time ever, the world’s best female ski jumpers will compete on the Large Hill in Falun. It promises to be a historic weekend at Lugnet as the World Cup makes a long-awaited stop in Sweden. Among the competitors is Swedish star Frida Westman, who, after last weekend’s season opener in Norway, sits in a strong 11th place in the overall World Cup standings. She is eagerly looking forward to competing on home soil:
– I’m really excited to jump in Falun. I hope there will be a great atmosphere in the hill, loud music, and that the crowd cheers me on, says Frida Westman.
The Swedish home audience will thus have the chance to witness a historic moment as the women compete for the first time in World Cup events on Falun’s large hill.
Due to the current weather forecast, FIS and the local organizing committee have decided to make adjustments to the competition schedule.
VIESSMANN FIS Ski Jumping World Cup Women will take place as follows:
28.11.2025: Normal hill
29.11.2025: Large hill (qualification)
30.11.2025: Large hill (competition)
Friday’s normal hill event will begin with qualifications at 11:00, followed by the competition round at 15:45.
