Today, the action-packed competition weekend at Lugnet kicked off with the FIS Nordic Combined Continental Cup. As expected, Norwegian star Ida Marie Hagen claimed the top spot on the podium in the women’s event, and there was also a Norwegian victory on the men’s side through Aleksander Skoglund.
For the athletes competing in the FIS Nordic Combined Continental Cup, the Gundersen format was on the schedule for the first day of competition. In the women’s event, Ida Marie Hagen of Norway won ahead of Nathalie Armbruster of Germany and Lena Brocard of France.
In the men’s event, it was a Norwegian double victory through Aleksander Skoglund and Kasper Moen Flatla. Herman Happonen of Finland finished third.
Tomorrow, the competition continues with a Mass Start event, held in parallel with the FIS Cross-Country World Cup Sprint.
