In February, Heroes of Falun, the Falun 2027 volunteer app was launched, and already over 380 people have registered.
– It feels fantastic that we’ve already received such an overwhelming response to our initiative with the Heroes of Falun app. It truly shows the great enthusiasm and interest for our upcoming events, says Jonas Peterson, CEO of Falun 2027.
Heroes of Falun 2027 is a new app for volunteers—or heroes, as we like to call them—who want to be part of the journey toward and d through the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2027 in Falun. The World Championships in Falun will take place between February 24 and March 7, 2027, but the volunteer journey begins the moment you register in the app. Through the app, all 1,600 volunteers will receive inspiration, knowledge, and challenges to help them be fully prepared for the grand ski festival in 2027.
“We see great potential in building an even stronger relationship with all our heroes. We want to provide them with solid training and clear communication so that they are as well-prepared as possible in their roles. The app will give them all the information they need, and we believe this approach will generate strong engagement and make the volunteer role much easier,” says Jonas Peterson.
