Falun 2027: New Logo and Visual Identity

Falun 2027 is now taking a clear step into the next phase ahead of the World Ski Championships 2027 and is launching a new logo and visual identity.

– This is more than just a new graphic style. It is an expression of everything we stand for and everything we want to create together before, during, and after the World Ski Championships in Falun 2027, says Lisa Johansson, head of marketing Falun 2027.

– We want our logo to become a unifying force. If it can help bring people together through sport, creating movement beyond the snow and memories for life – together – then we have succeeded, she says.

The visual identity is built around three symbols that hold great meaning for us: the heart, the ski tracks, and the snow. Together, they create a logo that honors our history while pointing forward. The color palette draws inspiration from Falun, Dalarna, and Sweden – from deep blue tones to crisp winter blue, complemented by warm accents of yellow and red. We have also introduced a new graphic element, the snowball, which captures both the feeling of winter and the energy of movement that drives us.

Our previous wordmark has been carried forward into the future and now coexists with the new symbol – a way to preserve what is already familiar while taking clear steps forward.

You can already see the new logo at Lugnet and in locations around Falun.

– We will gradually introduce the new identity in a sustainable way, in line with our activities and events,” says Lisa Johansson, head of Marketing.

The work to develop  the visual identity has been carried out in close collaboration with Panang Kommunikation, Dalarna’s largest communications agency.
