CTEK is the official technical supplier for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2027

CTEK has been appointed official technical supplier for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2027, which will take place in Falun from February 24 to March 7, 2027.

The assignment means that CTEK, in collaboration with installation partner Kalema E-Mobility, will provide portable charging solutions for electric vehicles. The initiative will begin during the FIS Cross-Country World Cup competitions on February 28–March 1, 2026, and will then be expanded on a larger scale ahead of the 2027 World Championships.

– We want Falun 2027 to be a modern and responsible championship in every aspect. Offering electric vehicle charging is a concrete step that makes a difference here and now – for competitors, visitors, and our own transport and operational vehicles. We are also grateful for the commitment and expertise that the two Dalarna-based companies, CTEK and Kalema E-Mobility, contribute to the work of creating an international championship in Falun, says Patrik Blomquist, Commercial Director of Falun 2027.

In practical terms, the collaboration means that visitors will have the opportunity to charge their electric cars at a temporary charging station at Lugnet during the events. This year’s installation during the World Cup includes 25 charging stations with dual outlets, enabling up to 50 electric vehicles to be charged simultaneously.

– For us at CTEK, the partnership is about more than delivering charging infrastructure. It is also a way to deepen collaboration with partners and customers, while contributing to an international championship on home soil. The project demonstrates that flexible charging systems work excellently – an exciting solution that can be used at larger events, says Henrik Fagrenius, CEO of CTEK.

– We are proud to serve as installation partner for CTEK during Falun 2027. As a Dalarna-based company, it feels especially meaningful to contribute local expertise and innovation to the event, says Martin Götesson, CEO of Kalema E-Mobility.
