Beyond Skiing introduces a new sales structure

The Beyond Skiing partner network is stepping up its efforts further.

With six months to go until the World Championships at Lugnet, the company is introducing a new sales structure. Another new initiative is that ten percent of partner fees from the higher partner levels will be allocated to social sustainability projects and to support sports clubs throughout Sweden.

Since its launch in 2009, Beyond Skiing has grown from an initiative linked to Falun’s bid to host the 2015 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships into an established meeting place for companies, entrepreneurs and decision-makers. Today, the organisation is more than a business network – it is a movement for companies that want to develop their business, strengthen their brand and increase their commitment to society.

In six months Falun 2027 will get underway at Lugnet in Falun. For the past few months, Beyond Skiing has been working with a new sales structure.

“Janne Svedin and Lovisa Lindqvist will continue in the same roles, and in the same appreciated manner, as before. In addition, we are bringing in Andreas Kahr, who will work as Key Account Manager, while I have taken on the role of Head of Sales,” says Thomas Ekhammer.

What are the major differences with this new way of working?

“First of all, we now have four people working in sales, which is double the number compared with before. We have also added a premium level to the Beyond Skiing partnership. Previously, our Gold level was the highest level within Beyond Skiing. There was then a gap to the packages sold through the Falun 2027-organisation, which started at SEK 1.5 million. This new structure allows us to cover more companies. We also have a different offering for companies today. For example, we can offer hospitality and tickets to the World Championships as part of the partnership. That wasn’t something we could offer previously,” says Ekhammer.

With the introduction of the new Premium level, there are now five different partnership levels for companies in the Beyond Skiing network: Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Premium.

Another new initiative is that ten percent of the partner fees from the larger partnerships (Gold and Premium) will be allocated to health and fitness initiatives and sports clubs.

“Five percent will be allocated to an initiative that sports clubs can apply for funding from. It could be used for something like a new door for the clubhouse or support for a training camp. Sports clubs from across Sweden can apply for this funding. The only requirement is that there must be a company in the municipality where the sports club operates that is a Gold or Premium partner in Beyond Skiing. This means that companies throughout Sweden can be part of Beyond Skiing while also contributing to community engagement in their local area.”

“Another five percent will be allocated to Team Beyond Skiing and Dalarna i rörelse. Team Beyond Skiing is a newly established training environment for young elite-level cross-country skiers up to the age of 23. These athletes will continue to compete for their clubs, but through Team Beyond Skiing they can, for example, gain access to a gym or receive financial support towards a training camp. The aim is to make it easier for them to pursue their athletic ambitions.”

“The skiers will also run ski courses for Beyond Skiing’s partners on ten occasions during the autumn and winter. Our goal is that at least one of the athletes in Team Beyond Skiing will compete at the Junior and U23 World Championships at Lugnet in 2028,” says Ekhammer, continuing:

“Dalarna i rörelse is a community project aimed at getting all young people physically active, regardless of which sport they participate in. The project is run by Leksands IF. We are delighted to be able to contribute to creating better opportunities for more people in Dalarna to get outside and be active,” says Ekhammer.
