Looking for Tickets to Falun 2027? – Here’s Your Guide

There is strong interest in tickets for next year’s FIS Nordic Ski World Championships at Lugnet. Here is your guide to purchasing tickets for Falun 2027.

At the end of last year, tickets for the FIS Nordic Ski World Championships in Falun were released. You can already secure your tickets for all the exciting competition days, featuring thrilling events in both the ski jumping arena and along the cross-country trails.

“We are seeing a great deal of interest. During the 2015 World Championships, several competition days sold out well in advance, and we expect a similar level of demand this time around. That’s why it’s wise to book early if you want to be sure of getting a spot,” says Daniel Svensson, Ticket Manager for Falun 2027.

There are several different ticket categories. How should I choose?

“That depends entirely on the experience you want. If you want to follow the competitions from locations such as Mördarbacken or the sprint climbs, you should purchase an admission ticket. The admission ticket gives you access to the spectator areas along the cross-country courses. If, on the other hand, you would like a seat in one of our five grandstands, you should purchase a ticket for the grandstand where you want to be. With a grandstand ticket, you can not only enjoy your designated seating area but also follow the competitions out on the course,” says Daniel Svensson.

HERE IS THE COMPETITION SCHEDULE

How do tickets for the ski jumping arena work?

“All tickets are valid for the entire competition day, meaning both the events in the ski jumping arena and on the cross-country courses. In the ski jumping arena, seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. This means that anyone with an admission ticket can take a seat in the main grandstand well before the ski jumping and Nordic Combined jumping events begin, ensuring they get the spot they want to follow the action. We expect some truly fantastic ski jumping celebrations when our large natural grandstand, with a capacity of 11,000 spectators alongside the hills, is filled,” says Daniel Svensson.

There are still more than six months until the Championships. Do I really need to buy my ticket now?

“We are already seeing that certain days are attracting particularly high demand. Finals sessions and weekends are usually the first to sell out. If you want to be sure of securing the days you most want to experience, it’s smart to book early.”

I want to stand in the Yellow Wall and cheer on the Swedish athletes. How do I do that?

“Anyone who has purchased an admission ticket for a competition day can take part in the Yellow Wall, which will be located along Mördarbacken and, on February 25, also in the sprint climbs when the first cross-country medals are awarded in the women’s and men’s sprint events. Tickets can be purchased directly through Falun 2027’s ticket portal. The Yellow Wall will support all athletes, but especially the Swedish team in their pursuit of success. It will create an incredible atmosphere and a strong sense of community for everyone in the venue,” says Daniel Svensson.

Can I pre-book my lunch during the competition days and secure a spot at the Afterski when buying my ticket?

“If you want to avoid queuing for lunch during your visit to Lugnet, you can of course pre-order your meal. Then you simply pick it up whenever hunger strikes. The Afterski is also the perfect way to continue enjoying the festival atmosphere and celebrate the achievements on the competition courses. At Lugnet Sports Hall, visitors can gather, socialize, and watch the day’s highlights while enjoying a classic après-ski menu. Demand for Afterski tickets is expected to be high, so make sure to secure your place now. You can do this when purchasing your ticket, and if you have already bought your ticket, you can of course add lunch and Afterski afterwards.”

Are accessible tickets available?

“Absolutely. Visitors purchasing an accessibility ticket will be offered seating in Grandstand L3. In the ski jumping arena, there will also be an accessibility viewing platform with limited capacity on a first-come, first-served basis. The ticket costs the same as a regular admission ticket. Up to two companions may enter on the same ticket upon presentation of a valid companion certificate.”

I would like to book tickets for several competition days. Is that possible?

“Of course. We offer packages for both the first and the second weekend, as well as packages for those who want to experience every competition throughout the Championships. Here you can find prices and competition days included in our packages. LINK MULTI-DAY TICKETS
