The stars land at Lugnet – the Ski Jumping World Cup kicks off

The VIESSMANN FIS Ski Jumping World Cup begins today at Lugnet in Falun as the men compete in the normal hill on Tuesday, November 25. After this past weekend’s World Cup premiere in Norway, the world’s elite now gather in Falun for more spectacular jumps.

Among the competitors are the reigning world champion Domen Prevc (Slovenia), last year’s overall World Cup winner Daniel Tschofenig (Austria), and Ryoyu Kobayashi (Japan), both of whom won last weekend’s competitions. Jumpers from 21 nations are taking part in the men’s events.
– Being able to welcome the world’s best jumpers to Falun again feels fantastic. I’m really looking forward to action-packed and memorable competitions, says Per Busk, competition director for Ski Jumping Falun 2027.

The men start with the normal hill event on November 25, with qualification at 11:00 and the competition at 15:00. On Wednesday, November 26, it’s time for the large hill, following the same schedule. On both days, DJ Özzi will provide the music and create extra energy at Lugnet.

The men now face two days of spectacular jumps and a great atmosphere before the women conclude the competition week with events on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Welcome to Lugnet to experience the competitions live.
