Proud host of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2027
History and tradition. Future, innovations and responsibility. In Falun the tradition from the World Championships 1954, 1974, 1993 and 2015 is strong. We are now looking forward to 2027. In Falun we always have both the ambition and power to take the lead, the same way as all Swedish Ski sports do. We fulfil innovations and have a strong ambition to move forward.

A World Championships in Falun 2027 will make the ski sport grow. We have the intention to create new paths to reach new skiers and coaches. The World Championships in Falun 2027 will create engagement among all of us living in Falun and Dalarna, now and in the future. Therefore, the experience and joy on site and on the ski tracks and jumping hills 2027 are as important as making a difference after the medals have been awarded and the spectators are gone.

Sustainability

The winter city of Falun has great possibilities for play, movement and exercise on snow. We want to contribute to that and there will be inspirational winter sport fun parks in many ways.
We support the Swedish Ski Association´s work with Snow for everyone and snow joy should be a natural part of an active lifestyle in Falun.
We want to make a difference for future generations and inspire and promote health and movement on snow.

In Falun it is close to everything

Falun is the ultimate event city where it is close to everything. On Lugnet Venue you reach everything with only a few minutes walk.
It is also very close to central Falun and you reach the city centre with railway station, shops, restaurants and ceremonies with a short walk from Lugnet.
Falun and Dalarna is located in the heart of Sweden with good connections to Stockholm and Arlanda International Airport.

Sustainability

FIS Nordic World Ski Championships has previously been arranged in Falun four times: 1954, 1974, 1993 and 2015. Each of these championships delivered something groundbreaking that changed how the world looked at the sport.
Lugnet, Falun and Dalarna has a long tradition of hosting big international events, always delivering world class experiences.
We want and we are able to deliver fantastic experiences for the athletes and spectators and also for the volunteers.

Om oss

Falun via Svenska Skidförbundet och Falu kommun ska stå värd för VM i de nordiska grenarna 2027. 2015 skapade vi på många sätt ett minnesvärt evenemang för alla inblandade och vi vill än en gång skapa minnen och upplevelser utöver det vanliga!

Att arrangera VM ger oss en möjlighet att göra verklig skillnad för oss och kommande generationer.

AFFÄRSNÄTVERKET BEYOND SKIING 2027

Det regionala affärsnätverket Beyond Skiing skapades inför VM 2015 och hade stor betydelse för det lyckade arrangemanget då. På resan mot ett nytt VM 2027 är Beyond Skiing är en viktig del av arbetet.
